Office of the Dean of Student Services

The Office of the Dean of Student Services (DOSS) coordinates the efforts of multiple offices whose work involves support for students. These include Admissions and Records, Financial Aid, Advising and Counseling, the Student Health Center, the Office of Student LifeJob Prep Services, and the college’s Recruitment Office. Each of these areas has its own website linked above where additional information may be found.

In addition, the Office of the DOSS also handles Student Code of Conduct investigations and concerns and appeals to the Dean affecting registration and student accounts.

The DOSS Office can facilitate student concerns and grievances, acting on behalf of individual students or groups of students who may need assistance in locating the right resources to solve problems or address complaints. When the concern is not directly related to one of the areas under the supervision of the DOSS, the office can help a student address his or her concern to the most appropriate campus or UH system resource.

Filing a Complaint

Please download and use the Complaint form (pdf). The form should be emailed to the Dean’s office, or printed out and dropped off at the Dean’s Office
